Giancarlo Esposito, Andre Braugher, James Earl Jones Set for NBC’s Olympics Narration (Sneak Peek)

*Giancarlo Esposito, Andre Braugher and James Earl Jones are among the talent whose voices will accent NBC’s coverage of the Rio Olympics.

Esposito, also starring in Netflix’s Baz Luhrmann series “The Get Down,” will have the honor of narrating NBC’s 5-minute short preceding coverage of tonight’s opening ceremony. Titled “The Most Beautiful Things In The World,” the film will focus on the Brazilian city and the roughly 11,000 Olympians and 207 nations who are officially competing from August 5 to 21.

Over two dozen Olympians will be in the short, including 4-time gold medalist and Wimbledon champ Serena Williams, NBA legend and gold medalist Kevin Durant, 18-time gold medalist Michael Phelps, 4-time gold medalist Allyson Felix and 6-time gold medalist and the fastest man on Earth Usain Bolt.

Produced by 25-time Emmy winner and NBC Sports SVP, Original Production and Creative, Mark Levy plus NBC Sports’ Joe Gesue, Phil Parrish and Matt Allen, “Beautiful Things” will open NBC’s Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, and Hoda Kotb co-hosted Opening Ceremony coverage with Bob Costas that kicks off at 7:30 PM ET.

Also providing Olympics narration are Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt and “Game Of Thrones’” star Peter Dinklage.
