Katt Williams attacks woman*Katt Williams has been charged with battery after police said he got into a fight with a female employee at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City. Williams allegedly felt disrespected by the woman and punched her.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office charged Williams, 44, with the misdemeanor in connection with the July 24 incident. Los Angeles police officers were called to the hotel at Ventura Boulevard and Coldwater Canyon Avenue about 11 a.m. after a female employee reported being in an altercation with Williams. The unidentified woman suffered a minor injury following the dispute, police said.

In related news, Williams and former rap mogul Suge Knight were charged with stealing a photographer’s camera outside a Beverly Hills studio on Sept. 5, 2014. Police said the pair chased the photographer and grabbed her camera because they felt she violated Suge’s family and personal space. Katt faces a maximum sentence of seven years in prison if convicted of robbery. He has pleaded not guilty.

Katt’s legal drama dates back to 2006, with his most notable confrontation occurring in March 2016, when a video went viral showing Williams involved in a tense tussle with a 17-year old 7th grader in Gainesville, Georgia. Because Williams allegedly threw the first punch, police launched an investigation into his actions.

Back in April, Williams was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia and charged with battery after allegedly throwing a salt shaker at the manager of Spondivits, a local restaurant. The manager claimed to have been hit in the mouth with the salt shaker after Williams’ group was denied preferential seating.
