Larenz Tate Nabs Lead Role in Ponzi Scheme Film ‘Business Ethics’

*Larenz Tate is headed to the big screen in the indie film “Business Ethics,” a dark comedy about a man who sets out to run a Ponzi scheme, according to Deadline.com.

Tate plays Zachery Cranston, an ambitious and unethical financial tycoon who will stop at nothing to climb the ladder of success.

The film, to be directed by Nick Wernham, is based on his short film of the same name. Richard Wernham penned the script. Know Rules’ Sanzhar Sultan will produce, with Tate, Richard Wernham, Loudon Owen, Jai Khanna and LaRon Tate set as executive producers.

Production aims to begin in October in Toronto.

Tate, who starred in NBC’s now-canceled drama series “Game Of Silence” this year, is shooting Universal’s comedy “Girls Trip” opposite Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
