Tammi Mac Interviewed by Ron Brewington on ‘The Actor’s Choice’

*Veteran actress and broadcaster Tammi Mac was the guest today, Monday, 8/8 on “The Actor’s Choice” with host Ron Brewington.

Mac, who is heard Monday through Friday on LA’s KJLH Radio Free 102.3 from 4-8PM, candidly spoke about how she got into both being an actress, as well as a broadcaster.

Since she arrived here in LA from Houston, TX, she’s worked for several directors, including Iona Morris, who directs Mac’s “Bag Lady.”

She also gives much credit to playwright Don B. Welch for being in some of his hit plays, giving her the exposure and the experience that made her into a diamond.

“Bag Lady,” was conceived as an idea that Mac had about relationships while talking with a close friend.

“I tell all of the stories from my perspective because my thought is that there is an experience in the play that some woman has shared,” proudly says Mac.

She admits that about 85% of the play is her.

The subject of AIDS is brought up in the one and a half hour play.

“Bag Lady” has had 13 sold out performances in Los Angeles, and has won 3 NAACP Theatre Awards, plus other awards.

Mac’s play will be held at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, 4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027.
