Colin Kaepernick Goes in on ESPN Hater and Sponsors Who Dropped Brandon Marshall (WATCH)

*San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took time after the teams victory over the LA Rams Monday evening (09-12-16) to respond to ESPN commentator Trent Dilfer who said on “Sunday NFL Countdown” that Kaepernick that he should stay in his place.

“A backup quarterback’s job is to be quiet, and sit in the shadows and get the starter ready to play Week 1,” Dilfer stated. “Yet he chose a time where all of a sudden he became the center of attention, and it has disrupted that organization. It has caused friction, and it’s torn at the fabric of the team.”

Kaepernick calls the former QB’s statements “ridiculous.” He says that police brutality is more important than his role as a quarterback.

“To me, you are telling me that my position as a backup QB and being quiet is more important than people’s lives,” he responds. “I would ask him to really have a conversation with the families of people that have been murdered. And see if he still feels that way. Because I bet that he doesn’t … ”

Kaepernick also said that he supports Brandon Marshall and other players who have come forth and put their careers and endorsements on the line.

“That’s embarrassing for those companies. They let someone with a strong personality, such strong character go because they don’t believe in racial equality and justice for all.”
