*Filming on the upcoming “Jumanji” reboot began Monday in Hawaii, and co-star Kevin Hart has given fans a first look at the lead cast in character.
The pic shows Hart with his “Central Intelligence” co-star Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillan dressed and ready to battle whatever suspicious creatures are coming their way.
“Day 1 of shooting Jumanji is officially in the can. We had a amazing first day. The chemistry & energy of our cast & crew was beyond amazing!!!! This movie is going to be dope as hell….Can’t wait to get back to work tomorrow @therock @karengillanofficial & jack black!!! #Jumanji,” he captioned the picture on Instagram.
Also in the cast, though not pictured, is Nick Jonas.
Johnson has stated previously that the film will not be a remake of Robin Williams‘ classic. Instead, it will be a continuation of his work.
“As a producer on this movie and someone who loves the original, you have my word we’ll honor the legend of’ ‘Alan Parrish’ and properly introduce a whole new generation to the fun and crazy Jumanji universe that so many of us loved and grew up on,” he said.
