*Jennifer Lopez will wear two hats on her upcoming NBC reality competition series “World of Dance,” serving as both executive producer and judge, reports Variety.

As previously reported, “World of Dance” was greenlit back in July with a 10-episode order, with Lopez only attached as a producer through her Nuyorican Productions, though sources said an on-camera role was always a possibility.

“World of Dance” will feature solo artists competing against duos and crews in all genres of dance, including hip hop, krumping, popping, locking, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom, clogging, stomping and more. The winner will receive a grand prize of $1 million.

“I identify with the struggles, passion, discipline, competition and exhilaration of dance. I am excited that with this show we can skyrocket a dancer’s career and help guide them to success,” said Lopez.

“World of Dance” will also feature choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo, best known as Nappytabs. The notable dancing duo has worked extensively with Lopez, having choreographed her Las Vegas show “All I Have.”

“This show centers on the need to celebrate and reward the art and athleticism of the dance community and there is no one more passionate about that then Jennifer,” said Meredith Ahr, president of Universal Television Alternative Studio. “Her role at the judges’ table takes our joint ambitions to the next level, and we can’t wait to get started.”

The show is made in partnership with preeminent global dance brand World of Dance. Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions is producing with Universal Television Alternative Studio. Along with Lopez, other exec producers are Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Kris Curry, Matilda Zoltowski, David Gonzalez, Matthew Everitt and Al Hassas.

The actress, who is coming off of judging Fox’s recently wrapped “American Idol,” also has her scripted drama “Shades of Blue” at NBC. The cop drama is set to enter its second season.
