On the Next Actor’s Choice (09-12-16): Ursaline Bryant and Shelly Fisher

*On Monday, September 12th at 11:30am PST, “The Actor’s Choice” host Ron Brewington cordially invites two marvelous ladies of the stage and screen, Ursaline Bryant  and Shelley Fisher.

Bryant is the actress who played Captain Tryla Scott in the “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episode.

She made her acting debut in 1977 on “The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries” in the episode “Murder of the Hollywood Phantom.” Bryant was also cast in the comedy, “All the Marbles” (1981) with John Hancock, Clyde Kusatsu and Claudette Nevins.

Bryant continued in comedy when she appeared in “Hot Pursuit” (1987) with Monte Markham.

After her television debut, Bryant was seen in 1986 on “The Red Foxx Show” in the episode “The Prodigal Son” with Vanessa Williams and on “The Golden Girls” in the episode “Ladies of the Evening.” Her next appearance was on the hit ABC series, “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” starring Neil Patrick, James Sikking and Lawrence Pressman. She also appeared in “Seinfeld,” starring Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander.

Bryant is currently appearing in the play, “Calafia,” (The Product Company), which she will be discussing.

Born and raised in the heart of the Mississippi Delta in Memphis, Tennessee, home of rock ‘n roll and the blues, actress, singer, songwriter Fisher comes by her love of music and entertainment naturally. After completing her graduate work in fine arts and drama at UCLA, she recorded a solo album on Fantasy Records, rocked the disco charts with her hit rendition of ‘Wonder Woman’ on Roadshow Records, and wrote ‘Disgorilla’, the sequel to Rick Dees ‘Disco Duck’.

Her dynamic and diversified repertoire features Blues, R&B, Pop, Rock ‘N’ Roll, and Country. Her unique blend of soulful music, earthy vocals and comedy has captivated audiences worldwide.

As creator and star of the romantic comedy cooking show, ForkPlay®, Fisher has appeared on many national TV shows including ‘Style Court’ on the Style Network, ‘The Dream Team’, ‘Breakfast TV’ in Vancouver Canada, and with Dick Clark and Danny Bonaduce on NBC’s ‘The Other Half.’

She’s currently touring the U.S. performing where Kosher meets Country, Blues and Rock ‘N’ Roll in her critically acclaimed solo musical play, THE HEBREW HILLBILLY®: Fifty Shades of Oy Vey!, where the audience gets a look into the unique world of Kosher Pork, Jew-B-Cues, adolescence interrupted, redneck anti-semitism, ELVIS and the power of dreams in a fast paced 90 minute musical production that has played to packed houses Coast to Coast crisscrossing the county from Santa Monica to New York, from Memphis to Kansas City to Hollywood to Palm Springs and Fort Lauderdale.
