*19-year-old Olympian Simone Biles plans to write an autobiography titled “Courage to Soar.” Co-written with journalist Michelle Burford, the book will chronicle Biles’ inspirational path to success, per Jet Magazine.
“I want people to reach for their dreams,” Biles said in the publisher’s release, according to the Los Angeles Times. “There [are] so many people who have inspired me with their love and encouragement along the way — and I want to pass on that inspiration to readers.”

The five-time Olympic gold medalist was adopted at an early age by her grandparents and discovered by her coach’s mom. In her book, she will share a first person perspective of her upbringing — taking readers through all of her triumphs and challenges, before the 2016 Rio Summer Games.
“Looking back on it now, I’m glad I didn’t give up. There so many people who have inspired me with their love and encouragement along the way — and I want to pass on that inspiration to readers,” said Biles.
Annette Bourland ― vice president of the book’s publisher, Zondervan ― said that the book “will equip countless fans with the courage and motivation to move beyond ‘life as it seems.’”
You can preorder the book here, which is set for release on November 15, 2016. It includes a foreword from 1984 Olympic champion Mary Lou Retton.

Simone talked about her official autobiography on Ellen, explaining it’s about “my life story and it’s coming from me so that people don’t read something on the internet and they’re a little bit unsure of it. So it’s about my life, a little bit about my family, and then how I got to where I am.”
