*A restaurant in Virginia has put a Colin Kaepernick jersey on display – but not in his honor of his right to protest the flag.

Krossroads Cafe & Tavern located in the 4000 block of Pleasant Valley Road in Virginia Beach, has duct taped the San Francisco quarterback’s jersey to the floor by the entrance, where customers may use it as a door mat.

The choice of décor made headlines when customer took James Perry took a photo and posted it on Facebook, saying, “Racism is real people and yes this is a racist act…an overall disgusting one!!! Boycott this racist ass bar!”

WTKR spoke with the general manager of the bar who says “taping the jersey down was about sportsmanship and Kaepernick’s disrespect of the flag – not race.”

The 49ers QB has decided not to stand for the national anthem before NFL games to protest racial injustice in America and to bring awareness to controversial police shootings of black people.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick explained in August.
