*Beyonce’s Formation World Tour touched down in Atlanta Monday Night (Sept. 26), which gave the singer an opportunity to pay homage to the city’s own Shawty Lo, who died last week in a car crash.

Beyoncé played his 2007 single “Dey Know,” which she mixed with her own song “Diva,” while her dancers performed a special routine specifically for the tribute.

A number of Atlanta music legends came out to watch Bey slay, including T.I., Jeezy, The Dream, Ludacris, Young Thug, Migos and Jermaine Dupri.

Bey’s opening act for her European leg, DJ Khaled, was also in the building.

Rapper Shawty Lo, best known for his 2007 song “Dey Know,” was killed in a fiery car wreck on I-285 in Atlanta early Wednesday morning, according to CBS News. He was 40.

Shawty Lo, whose real name was Carlos Walker, was the victim of a hit and run accident on Sept. 21. Police say one of the vehicles involved went over a guard rail and caught fire.

Walker’s vehicle, a 2016 Audi, struck a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire. He was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.

Two women also in the car with him were also injured and taken to the hospital.

Shawty Lo was a founding member of the hip-hop group D4L in 2003, as well as D4L Records.

In 2013, the rapper made headlines after an online petition sought to cancel Oxygen’s new reality series “All My Babies’ Mamas,” which was to follow Shawty Lo and the 10 mothers of his 11 children. The show never made it to air.
