*The cast of CBS All Access’ forthcoming spinoff of “The Good Wife” has added Delroy Lindo as a series regular, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The veteran actor will play Robert Boseman, an attorney who starts poaching Diane Lockhart’s (Christine Baranski) associates and clients when she gets into financial trouble and threatens her ability to stay in business.

“Boseman is a character who dominates every scene, intimidates every lawyer, and is beloved by every client. He needs to look like a Chicago lawyer, but have a Shakespearean facility with language, and Delroy Lindo was really the only actor who came to mind,” showrunners Robert and Michelle King said Thursday in a statement.

“Obviously, we always loved his work in ‘Get Shorty’ and ‘Clockers,’ but it really was his work in ‘Heist’ that jumps off the screen. It’s an incredible character he created and we are thrilled that Delroy agreed to come on board. Just thinking of his scenes with Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo makes us smile.”

The as-yet-untitled spinoff will take place a year after the events of the finale of “The Good Wife.”

The main storyline will center on an enormous financial scam that has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Diane’s goddaughter Maia (Rose Leslie), while simultaneously wiping out Diane’s savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn (Jumbo) at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms.

The cast also includes Sarah Steele, who will reprise her role as Marissa Gold, Eli’s (Alan Cumming) daughter who becomes an investigator for Diane.

The 10-episode first season will begin sometime in February, with the first episode premiering first on CBS.
