*If you haven’t heard, DJ Khaled is a now a first time daddy. And not only did he witness the birth, he also shared it with his Snapchat followers.
OK, here’s the basics. The rotund DJ became a dad early Sunday morning (10-23-16). The mother is his longtime fiancée Nicole Tuck, 39. She gave birth to a boy.
And since Khaled, 40, is a social media superstar and the so-called king of Snapchat, naturally, he of course, documented the entire birth process on Snapchat. And leading up to the birth, he posted mucho snaps over the weekend, showing the moment Tuck’s water first broke on Saturday to her hours-long labor. That’s not all. Via video, He also showed the first moments of the newborn’s life, although he only let fans hear the baby’s cries rather than show him.

As far as the baby boy’s name, it’s Asahd Tuck according to Khaled’s rep, PEOPLE confirmed. The little fellow clocked in at 7 lbs. 14 oz., and 21.5 inches long. And in case you’re wondering, “Asahd” means lion in Arabic.
After his son’s birth, Khaled cried tears of joys and celebrated with his family (his mother came to the hospital) and friends.
The couple announced their pregnancy exclusively to PEOPLE in May.
“I’ve always wanted kids,” he said. “This is my first kid and I’m excited and I want more. I’ve always wanted to be a family man. I’m in a great family and I want to have my own family at the same time.”
Back in June, Khaled told Jimmy Kimmel that he wanted to Snapchat his son’s “whole birth.” When asked what Nicole thought about that, he responded with this:
“The key is that I’m the king and every queen should support the king. I’m going to talk to the doctor and if the doctor says everything is gonna run smooth, meaning that we wanna make sure that the queen is right and my son is right. If it’s running smooth where I can just do my thing, I’mma Snapchat the whole thing.”
