*Welp, so much for the Madonna/Idris Elba dating rumors.
As previously reported, the actor was all over Madonna’s social media this past weekend, sparking talk that the two are the newest celebrity couple.
The Material Girl was front and center at Idris’ kickboxing match and posted footage on her Instagram. Also, the singer posted a Snapchat of her sparring with Elba, followed by a selfie on the floor beside him with the message, “I kicked his butt” and some pics after his match.
It didn’t help that The Sun ran a story claiming the two went out to dinner following Elba’s kickboxing match and were “spotted kissing.” An unnamed source was quoted as saying they “had only eyes for each other”:
One said: “They arrived together at around 3am and were all over each other. There was nothing subtle about it, no attempt to hide. It was very blatant.
“They were at the party for about an hour, they would dance, go off to smooch, then mingle a bit more. They only had eyes for each other. That seemed very, very clear.”
Addressing the report and the dating rumors it has spawned, Elba tweeted a firm denial this morning: “Am I sleeping with Madonna? No mother**kers… Don’t believe the Hype.”

This is not the first the world has seen of this duo. Last year, Madonna brought Elba onstage during the Berlin stop of her Rebel Heart tour.
“Madonna is a legend,” he said of the singer at the time.
