*After In Touch Weekly claimed in a report Thursday that Khloe Kardashian and NBA star Tristan Thompson were engaged, and that a wedding was to take place on her E! reality series, sources close to the athlete have denied both the engagement and the TV wedding.
“A source close to Tristan Thompson tells ESPN the story re: his engagement to Khloe Kardashian/reality TV series is false on both counts,” tweeted ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin on Friday.
In Touch Weekly reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers player popped the question after just two months of dating. The report even had details of how the couple planned to “marry in front of the cameras.”
In Touch reported:
Although Kris Jenner previously disagreed with their engagement, she quickly changed her mind when her daughter mentioned the idea of a new show, “Kris is terrified that fans will lose interest [in KUWTK],” an insider exclusively revealed. “She desperately wants a new project to work on and thinks Khloé and Tristan’s show would be ratings gold, especially if they include all the drama surrounding the basketball player leaving his pregnant ex for her daughter.”
The NBA star is all for the idea, and Khloé is thrilled to show off her new relationship following her turbulent marriage with Lamar Odom.
“He chose the right sister,” the insider continued. “Out of all the Kardashians, Khloé is the one who loves the cameras the most. For too long, her storylines have revolved around her crying over drama with Lamar and all the issues that came with that. Khloé’s in a much better headspace now and wants to show off her relationship.”
Apparently, none of that is true.
