*Destiny’s Child fans are wondering if a comeback is afoot after the group suddenly and quietly opened an Instagram account last week.
Instagram didn’t exist when the girl group originally formed in 1997 with Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett before losing the latter two and adding Michelle Williams, then disbanding in 2006.
Their string of No. 1 hits included “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Bootylicious,” “Say My Name” and “Independent Women Part 1,” among others.
The ladies reunited briefly for Beyonce’s 2013 Super Bowl XLVII halftime show for live renditions of “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women.” The stint also boosted Bey and Destiny’s Child album sales 197% following the show.
As of Friday afternoon, the group’s verified Instagram account had just three posts and just over 16,000 followers.
Does this mean the trio may record again?
