*Nick Gordon is reportedly “not doing well at all” since he was found legally responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

As previously reported, a default judgment was made against Gordon in September after he failed to appear in court and missed deadlines for a wrongful death lawsuit from Bobbi Kristina’s estate. A jury trial will eventually determine how much Gordon will be required pay in damages to Brown’s estate, which could be as much as $50 million.

“He doesn’t have that type of cash, so you can’t get blood from a stone,” the source said. “But it bothers him that there’s this perception that he is responsible for her death, because he’s not. He feels like everyone has made him a scapegoat, and it’s not fair.”

Gordon, 26, currently lives as a recluse in Florida, a source told People on Thursday.

“He’s not doing well at all,” the source added. “He is low energy, just really unhappy. He knew that it was a big deal for him to appear in court, but he just couldn’t do it. So he skipped it and the judgment was entered against him. He’s just in a dark place.”

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta home in January 2015. She died six months later in hospice care.

Bobbi Kristina’s estate filed a lawsuit claiming she died following “a violent altercation [with Gordon]” that left her “battered and bruised, with a tooth knocked out … after which he placed her in the bathtub unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture.”
