*Did Brandy throw shade at Monica … again during her critically praised set at the Soul Train Awards which aired Sunday night on BET and Centric? That is the question.
Well, if she didn’t she might as well have ’cause that’s assumption by a lot of folks. The Lady of Soul Award-recipient changed the lyrics to her song “Talk About Our Love.”
Love B. Scott makes note that It’s not clear what she’s referencing with lyrics about Instagram, someone “talking ish” and letting their whole “fan base jump in.”
So without any official explanation from Miss Brandy, you’re left to assume the new lyrics were inspired by her recent Instagram beef with Monica.

Surprise, surprise! Now, you knew that Monica wasn’t sit back and not respond to the situation one way or the other. Here’s how she replied to a fan’s comment:
“Love that goes BOTH ways. it’s disappointing to leave ICU and come to my page to see the foolishness of the 90s ever so present amongst BOTH groups . I will forever respect the legend she is & the history we created. All of you guys do the same ??She’s a vocal beast and we’re both great in our own right!! ??This is her moment. She earned and deserves it . No mention or @ of my name needed !!”
Well that was a rather classy (and sassy) response, if we do say so. Hopefully this will put the issue to rest. But we won’t be surprised if it doesn’t.
