Dave Chappelle Upset at Report that Says He’s Anti Hillary and Pro Trump

*Dave Chappelle is supposedly not at all happy with a news report that suggests he’s down with Donald Trump. He believes the media outlet, The Observer, is guilty of shoddy journalism.

What happened was … during a stand show at the Cutting Room in NYC on Friday night, the comedian made known his displeasure for both Donald and Hillary in what some are calling a bizarre 60-minute set that received extensive play in The Observer. Oh, did we tell you the publication just happen s to be owned by Trump son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

The Observer apparently snuck a recorder in and provided what appeared to be a transcription of the show … in particular, what the magazine called Chappelle’s defense of Donald Trump, with a headline that said: “Dave Chappelle Defends Trump, Rips Clinton.” But, according to Chappelle’s team, the comedian took shots at both candidates.

“Dave is disgusted by the tone of the election and especially by the idea that his comedy would be misconstrued to defend Trump,” a representative for Chappelle told The Huffington Post in an email.

The Observer wrote that Chappelle seemed to take special pleasure in ripping into Clinton. Although he admitted that he voted for the Democratic nominee in his home state of Ohio, he told the crowd he didn’t “feel good” about it.

“She’s going to be on a coin someday. And her behavior has not been coin-worthy,” he said, per The Observer. “She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.”

The comic reportedly claimed that Clinton was behind the leak of Trump’s explicit 2005 hot mic recording, although the Clinton campaign has said it had “no advance knowledge of the tapes.”

However, it seems Chappelle comments at the show did come off as kinda bizarre cause he seemed to be defending Trump and going after him at the same time when he discussed what the GOP presidential candidate said on the 2005 tape as he talking about groping women:

“Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it,” Chappelle during his show.

But even though he’s not thrilled with either candidate, Chappelle said he’s already voted for Hillary.
