*Prince’s first posthumously released song, “Moonbeam Levels,” premiered Tuesday on ABC News to promote the release of the late musician’s new greatest hits album, “Prince 4ever.”

The network hosted a listening party for “Moonbeam Levels” at New York City’s Cutting Room Studios, reports Rolling Stone. The R&B ballad was recorded in 1982 while the artist working on “1999.”

After recording the song, Prince thought about including it an album he began working on in 1988, “Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic,” that was ultimately scrapped, although he later tweaked the title for his 1999 record, “Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic.”

While the track has been previously bootlegged, it is now officially available on Prince 4ever, a 40-song greatest hits collection out today, November 22.
