Is Kanye Really Performing for Trump? – He Also Tweets Donald’s Time Cover

kanye&trump

*Even though he’s denied it, the rumor mill has Kanye West performing for his buddy, Donald Trump‘s presidential inauguration next month. Meanwhile, according to reports, artists aren’t exactly lining up to be performers for Trump’s big night.

As we reported on Tuesday (12-13-16), Trump’s meeting with Kanye stirred speculation that he would perform at one of the inaugural events. Kanye didn’t say anything about that when he and Trump appeared before photographers.

Later he explained their meeting via Twitter:

” I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future president if we truly want change.”

The love affair between the two continued today with West tweeting an autographed copy Donald Trump’s cover on TIME.

In other Trump news, it seems the president-elect had no problem dissing Twitter which is interesting because the company, arguably, played a key role in getting him into the White House.

According to TMZ, Trump invited the heads of huge tech companies to Trump Tower for a summit Wednesday — Tesla’s Elon Musk, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg and Apple’s Tim Cook were among the attendees. Even Uber’s CEO was at the adult’s table.

Twitter execs were notably absent … which struck a lot of people as odd since the Trump is almost constantly giving the world his thoughts via the service.  A Trump aide told Business Insider Twitter just wasn’t big enough (financially) to get the nod.

Twitter’s reportedly valued at about $13.85 billion, that’s peanuts compared to the likes of Google, Apple and Facebook.
