Rickey Considers Letting His Daughter Date Older Men on ‘Rickey Smiley for Real’ – WATCH!

SILVER SPRING, MD. — Rickey Smiley dishes out dating advice when D’Essence asks for permission to date older men on the next episode of TV One’s Rickey Smiley For Real, premiering Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. ET. Instead of shutting the conversation down immediately, Rickey surprises the 19-year-old with his open perspective on the idea.

D’Essence’s expectation is to have men treat her as I would,” said Smiley. “It’s basic stuff like paying for a meal. If a tab comes…if that dude don’t reach for it then that needs to be the last date. As a matter of fact, you need to Uber or call me at that point!”

Juicy decides to call D’Essence’s bluff by setting up a blind date with a man almost two decades older. Will she still think older is better?

Da Brat convinces Ed Lover to let her new protégé, Cornbread, perform at a talent showcase. As a multi-platinum artist herself, Da Brat knows what it takes to be successful in the industry. However, she quickly finds out that managing an artist can be even more work.

“This is my first artist that I’m putting on,” said Da Brat. “Now, I’ve worked with a few people but as time went by they start feeling entitled, they start feeling like they should go everywhere that I go. They lost their humbleness and I just don’t want Cornbread to do that.”

Meanwhile, Rickey Smiley is so proud that Craig has a new job and is making it on his own that he buys the teen a car to congratulate him. However, Craig has a secret that could ruin the celebration.

Out of respect Brandon attends another counseling session with Spirit to discuss reconciling with his father. However, when he finds out that Rickey has suggested that he may have a drinking problem, Brandon is angry all over again.

Rickey Smiley For Real continues to post gains each season, with Season 3 up vs. Seasons 1 and 2 through the first three episodes among P25-54 (Season 1 by +19% and Season 2 by +7%). During the first three episodes, RSFR Season 3 posted two consecutive weeks audience gains across key demos (P25-54, P18-49, W18-49).
