star music drama

*Paris Jackson is responding to reports that she has reportedly met with Lee Daniels to discuss joining the cast of his new Fox musical drama “Star.”

TMZ initially reported that details surrounding her possible involvement are being kept under wraps, and Daniels teased fans last week by sharing an Instagram photo of him and the daughter of the late Michael Jackson The outlet said Jackson is “seriously considering” joining the show.

During a September appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres” show Paris revealed that it was the King of Pop who inspired her to get into acting.

“My dad was in the movie ‘Moonwalker,’ and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act,” she said. “I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’ We would do improve together. He would give us little scenarios. He would go, ‘OK, in this scene you’re going to cry,’ and I’d cry on the spot.”

Now, in a tweet to the Daily News, Paris is denying the rumors about her joining the new Fox music drama.

Meanwhile, Paris is also speaking out about British network Sky Arts’ decision to cancel an upcoming episode of the comedy series “Urban Myths.” It seems Jackson was none to pleased with the network’s decision to cast a white actor to play her father.

The 18-year-old said she was “incredibly offended” by the casting. After fans launched a petition to boycott the episode, collecting over 20,000 signatures, the network noticed and said on January 13 that they were pulling the plug on the episode, titled “Elizabeth, Michael & Marlon.”

“I’m surprised the family’s feelings were actually taken into consideration for once, we all really do appreciate it more than y’all know,” Paris tweeted that same day the cancellation was announced.
