Russell Simmons’ All Def Digital’s Oscar Spin: The All Def Digital Movie Awards (WATCH!)

The 2017 “All Def Digital Movie Awards” kicked off its 2nd year with a black carpet on Wednesday Feb. 22  at the Belasco Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles!

With appearances from some of the funniest names in stand up comedy, the most iconic in television & film to the most trending in the digital entertainment space the night could only be summed up in one word, hilarious!

Russell Simmons created the “All Def Digital Movie Awards” last year following the #Oscarssowhite controversy as an innovative stand against the lack of diversity within the pool of opportunities and honors for talent in the entertainment industry. Airing the same day as the Oscars, the ADDMA will honor rap legend, Ice Cube, with its “Lifetime Achievement” award for his work and vigilance within the industry. Amber Rose will also be spotlighted for her political work via organized stances such as the infamous Slut Walk.

“Ive been very fortunate, Ive had some good experiences which pushed me to do more. Giving makes me whole so all of my businesses have been centered around that” – Russell Simmons

Not only is this award show one of a kind in the way it highlights those who have not been afraid to step outside of the box, but the award categories that Russell and the ADD team chose for the evening sparked quit the conversation for EURweb correspondent, Loren LoRosa, throughout the evening.
