*Two of Dave Chappelle’s three new stand-up specials for Netflix now have a release date and trailer.
Both specials, directed by Stan Lathan, come to the streaming service on March 21, Netflix announced Thursday. One of the specials, “The Age of Spin,” was filmed at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium in March 2016, while the other, “Deep in the Heart of Texas,” took place in April 2015 during Austin City Limits Live at Austin’s Moody Theater.
“Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy — searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential,” said Lisa Nishimura, VP of Original Documentary and Comedy, in a previous statement. “Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy, and we are honored he will mark his global return on Netflix.”
