New Comedy ‘Transition’ Explores What Really Happened at 90-Minute Meeting Between Obama and Trump

*Now it can be told! Two days after the last Presidential election, President Barack Obama welcomed President-Elect Donald Trump for a 90-minute meeting at the White House, to initiate the peaceful transition of power. The future of Western Civilization depended upon the propitious conclusion of this meeting.

So… What the hell exactly happened on Thursday, November 10, 2016?

  You won’t learn it from CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, BBC World News, or The Wall Street Journal. You’ll have to see the new play Transition to learn the truth.

Harry S. Murphy plays Donald Trump. Murphy has appeared in numerous films (Race to Witch Mountain [2009]; Killing Hasselhoff; Evan Almighty, Charlie Wilson’s War; Shattered!; Who’s Your Daddy?;much more) and television shows (The New Girl; Selfie; Partners; Scandal; Save Me; Monday Mornings; dozens more).

Joshua Wolf Coleman portrays Obama. His recent stage credits include Titus Andronicus; Romeo and Juliet; Tree; Bulrusher; Love Water; Dinosaur Within; much more. His TV credits include Scandal; Grey’s Anatomy; Castle; How to Get Away with Murder; Hart of Dixie; Parenthood; much more.

Trevor Alkazian portrays a Presidential aide.

 Lee Costello directs. She recently helmed Waiting for Grace at the Odyssey Theatre. Her many New York directing credits include Extensions; The Portable Dorothy Parker; Heads; The Adventures of She-Man; Did I Vote for You?; much more.

Ray Richmond is the playwright. For some 30 years, he’s been a leading television critic, columnist and reporter. His byline has appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, Daily Variety, Los Angeles Daily News, Orange County Register. A student of the political scene, his commentaries have recently appeared in Glendale News Press. His books include My Greatest Day in Show Business; TV Moms: An Illustrated Guide; This Is Jeopardy: Celebrating America’s Favorite Quiz Show; and The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family.
