*More details have been revealed about the woman who secretly married Tyrese on Valentine’s Day.
According to TMZ, a source close to the couple says her name is Samantha Lee, a New Jersey native who earned a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia, and has spent her career fighting sex and human trafficking and providing counseling for inmates.
She’s also handled cases for the Division of Family and Children Services in GA, reports TMZ, adding, “She’s accomplished and well-paid. We’re told Samantha lives comfortably on a hefty salary.”
The website cites sources who say the couple met through mutual friends after Tyrese posted an open letter in 2015 to his “wife of the future.”
Regarding the social media uproar over Tyrese referring to Samantha as his “black queen,” her heritage is Ecuadorian, Jamaican and African-American, according to TMZ.
