Kelly Rowland Talks Destiny’s Child Biopic, Says Reunion Not Happening

Destiny Child*EUR previously reported that Matthew Knowles – who remains in control of business affairs for Destiny’s Child – was working on a series of projects for the group, which included a biopic and a world tour. Bad news for fans, Kelly Rowland has squashed the latter of those plans, confirming that it may be a long while before she reunites with Beyoncé and Michelle Williams on stage.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Rowland said that she and the ladies haven’t even discussed getting back together.

“It hasn’t been something that we’ve talked about at all,” Rowland said. “We’ve just been enjoying each other, whether it’s been about our music, whether it’s been about motherhood or our personal lives. That’s what it’s really been about. That’s been the most beautiful part.” She added. “We love each other.”

As The Huff Post notes, Williams, Rowland and Knowles last performed together at the 30th Annual Stellar Awards in Las Vegas, and the trio gave a memorable performance during Beyoncé’s halftime show for the 2013 Super Bowl.

Wetpaint caught up with the singer/actress and asked if the Destiny’s Child biopic is really happening.

“That would be something I would talk to [Beyoncé and Michelle Williams] about,” Kelly stated, adding, “When people do stories like that, the whole party should be in agreement. It’s only fair. I think that everybody who was there — who was a part of that era, that time — should be involved in telling that story.”
