*Maybe the folks behind a new Pepsi ad featuring Kardashian sister, Kendall Jenner, probably thought it was in the pocket as far as capturing the sentiment of the streets and the new resistance movement. However, “tone deaf” is how it’s being described.
In the controversial ad, Jenner walks away from a photo shoot to join some strange, but good looking dude at a protest. He gives a can of Pepsi and she gives the soda to cop who’s monitoring the protest. His face breaks into a smile, and the crowd breaks into cheers.
The spot is being torn to shreds online. People are going in on it with many labeling it – as we said above – “tone-deaf,” a “complete disaster” or much worse.
So, is the spot getting clowned because people are confused about what it’s supposedly depicting? Or, is it because people just straight up hate it?
@KendallJenner @pepsi This is humiliating, terrifying, pathetic, and infuriating. How many dozens of people in the chain and NOBODY was like, “Yo… no.”

@IdgyOohlala @roxboots @pepsi They co-opted the Black Lives Matter movement, making a lame, tone-deaf commercial based on this photo. It’s gross all around. pic.twitter.com/iVKLYDzWam
