Omarosa Shows Off ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ Wedding Gown – Frederick Douglass Quarter Now in Circulation

*Saturday’s episode of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” features Omarosa Manigault, who, like all brides who come on the show, appeared for a free dress from Kleinfeld. In “rare cases” there are “exceptions,” an informed source says.

Omarosa is one of those “rare cases,” as it was revealed in those White House financial disclosures detailing personal finances of about 180 senior staffers that Lady O (as she likes to be called) “received a wedding package which included a wedding dress, custom veil, and accessories with an estimated value of $25,000 in exchange for appearance on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress.”

Manigault’s wedding to Pastor John Newman is set for this Saturday (04-08-17) in Washington, D.C.

Quarter in circulation

Famed abolitionist Frederick Douglass has become the latest historic icon to land on U.S. currency.

Douglass is now on the U.S. quarter which was released by the U.S. Mint on Tuesday. 400 million Douglass quarters will be in circulation and are also available to order online.

The design — which features him writing in the front of his Southeast, Washington, D.C. home where he lived from 1877 until his death in 1895 — was selected by the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.

The program issues quarters that honor national park sites, and the place of Douglass’ former home on W Street SE in Anacostia, was named the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site.

In related news, in 2020, Harriet Tubman will be the new face of the $20 bills.
