Why Iyanla Vanzant Wants to Fix… Pres. Donald Trump

Adrienne Houghton: Now, if you could fix any celebrity’s life, you could go in and tell them “I want to help you, I want to fix you, and get you together,” who would it be?

Iyanla Vanzant: A celeb – Does it have to be a celebrity?

Adrienne: Yeah.

Jeannie Mai: It has to be somebody we know.

Adrienne: Hey, some of these folks got a lot going on, you might want to help them.

Loni Love: Someone we know.

Adrienne: Someone we know, yeah.

Iyanla: They’d have to be willing. That’s the requisite. Any guest that I work with.

Jeannie Mai and Tamara Mowry-Housley: Yes.

Iyanla: I don’t go judging and telling people I want to fix your life. But if they were willing, I would fix Donald Trump.

All: Wow.

[The Real audience applauds]

Angela Yee: Oh my gosh.

Adrienne: That was not the one I expected! I’m like, wow!

Loni: Yeah, so I was like – so what was, what was, what’s the issue?

Adrienne: Oh my – if you had to pinpoint?

Jeannie: Where do we start?

Iyanla: Well, you know I haven’t had a conversation with him.

Loni: Right.

Iyanla: And so I would need to be in his energy. But from what I see, uh, there’s a disconnect between his heart and his head, and it requi – and it results in wahalla coming out of his mouth.

All: Wow.

[The Real audience applauds]

Iyanla: That’s, that’s but I have never had a conversation with the man

Adrienne: Right, yeah

Iyanla: I don’t want to make it up, I don’t know.

About The Real

THE REAL is a daily, one-hour Emmy® and NAACP Image Award nominated talk show on Fox Television Stations and in national syndication (check local listings), with a rebroadcast on cable network BET. Led by bold, diverse and outspoken Emmy® nominated hosts – Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley — these women reflect the home audience and unapologetically say what women are actually thinking. Their unique perspectives are brought to life through their candid conversations about topics ranging from their own personal lives to the news of the day to beauty, fashion and relationships. THE REAL is unlike other talk shows, since each of the hosts are admittedly a “work in progress,” and fearlessly invites the viewers into their lives. Their fresh points of view, youthful energy and passion have turned the traditional talk show on its head. Produced by Telepictures Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, The Real originates from Los Angeles. Rachel Miskowiec (Good Morning America, Katie, The Tyra Banks Show, Judge Hatchett, The Ricki Lake Show) is Executive Producer.
