*We have all had a few exes in our past that left a lasting impression, the “” movie starring Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl reminds us of those days, with a tad bit more crazy!
EURweb correspondent Loren LoRosa recently chatted with the cast at the TCL Chinese theatre in Hollywood about their craziest moments with an ex, favorite moments from the movie & more!
“I had a crazy ex dating experience where somebody pretended to be Someone else. Someone who was about to meet me it ended up being her friend. Very brace but very boring.” – Simon Kassianides
A bit more freighting than being cat fished, The plot unfolds as Tessa played by Katherine Heigl and ex husband David, played by Geoff Stults work to move pass their divorce but Tessa’s coping is interrupted by his new love interest Julia, played by Rosario Dawson. After escaping an abusive ex, Julia falls madly in love with David and things start moving quickly as the new couple move in together and begin to dance around the idea of marriage, but not if Julia has any say so!
Katherine’s on screen character devotes her life to making Tessa miserable, taking the “if I can’t have you, no one else will” antic to new levels as she does everything in her power to paint Tessa as a horrible girlfriend and step mother.
“She’s slowly being made to feel like she’s crazy like there’s something wrong with her. She’s very insecure and paranoid from her past, so she’s the perfect person to do that with” – Rosario Dawson
The phenomenal cast of actors and actresses are led by a few powerful female creatives with Alison Greenspan producing alongside long time producer making her directorial debut, Denise Di Novi.
“My feelings that I had to be perfect all the time and had to be always desirable to men all of us know what’s that’s like, so we talked about it a lot” says Di Novi as she thinks back to times on set where her personal feelings towards dating and relationships intertwined with her direction on set.
