*Dr. David Dao, the man who whose violent removal from a United Airlines flight sparked worldwide outrage, is currently hospitalized in Chicago due to the injuries sustained during his forced removal.
Dr. Dao “is undergoing treatment at a Chicago hospital for his injuries,” read a statement released Tuesday afternoon on behalf of the family.
“The family of Dr. Dao wants the world to know that they are very appreciative of the outpouring of prayers, concern and support they have received. Currently they are focused only on Dr. Dao’s medical care and treatment.”
The statement was released jointly by a Chicago attorney and Chicago aviation attorney currently representing the Dao family…which could mean that a lawsuit against United may be in the works.
