*Who knew Oklahoma City Thunder player Victor Oladipo could carry a tune. …Or can he?
The OKC guard, who has had experience singing in church, relived memories of a past talent show when Rolling Stone asked him to sing R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly.”
Oladipo first revealed his hidden talent in September during an interview with TMZ Sports. He said he was dared to perform for a talent show at a water park – and won the contest with his cover of Kellz’s 1996 hit.
He also offered the backstory to his singing skills. “I’ve probably been singing since I was like 7 or 8 years old. My momma made me sing in church growing up. It was kind of a hidden talent of mine for a while, but over the years I’ve kind of been getting out of my shell,” he said, offering a “maybe” when asked if singing would be his post-basketball career. He mentioned that R&B singers Chris Brown and Trey Songz were aware of his singing talents.
