*Letitia Wright, whose stock in Hollywood is sure to rise with her role as Princess Shuri in Disney/Marvel’s highly anticipated “Black Panther” film, has signed with agency WME, reports Deadline.

The British-born actress has a number of films on deck for 2018. Before the Feb. 16 release of “Black Panther,” she’ll hit theaters in January in Lionsgate’s “The Commuter” alongside Liam Neeson and Vera Farmiga, and Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi film “Ready Player One,” in theaters March 30.

In the Marvel Comics universe, Shuri is the younger sister of King T’Challa (a.k.a. Black Panther), played by Chadwick Boseman.

“She is super smart, super intelligent, innovative,” Wright told comicbook.com last month. “She studied with vibranium all of her life. She used vibranium and manipulated it in a way that it can be able to be even more powerful. She puts this into the armor. She puts it into the weaponry that we see and that you will see February 16 in the film. She’s just a smart kid.”

“’Black Panther’ takes place right after ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and all of that tragedy,” Wright continued. “But, in terms of Shuri, she’s someone that doesn’t wear her emotions on her sleeve. She uses that to motivate her to create weapons and protection for her family that’s beyond explanation or beyond comparison because she doesn’t want to have a loss again. So she’s going to do whatever it takes to protect her family.”

Previously with Gersh, Wright’s other credits include a starring role in the British film “Urban Hymn,” as well as stints on Channel 4/AMC ‘s “Humans,” and the British series “Cucumber.”
