*T-Pain will leave the auto-tune at home when he hits the road this fall for his first-ever acoustic tour.

The singer, whose digitally enhanced vocals have powered such hits as “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin),” “Bartender” and “Can’t Believe It,” took only his God-given vocals and an acoustic guitar to NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series in 2014 in a performance that went viral.

Nearly three years later, T-Pain will embark on a six-city acoustic tour inspired by his Tiny Desk concert and will bring along rappers Smino and Felly as supporting acts.

T-Pain recently told NPR that his Tiny Desk performance “was a huge accomplishment for me” — it accumulated over 10 million views so far — and opened up new opportunities for the singer as well as a new audience.

“The love and respect I’ve received from my NPR performance has not only shown a different side of me to fans, but it also has introduced me to a whole different set of fans,” he continued. “All I see on social media is how all my fans want to see this in person, live, with their own eyes.”

T-Pain’s acoustic tour will begin October in San Francisco with stops in New York, Chicago, Boston and more.
