EUR Exclusive: We’re Chatting with Jackie Chan & the Cast of ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’ [WATCH]

*Carlsbad, CA—The name coming out of everyone’s mouth is Ninjago! The movie brought reporters and their families from far and wide to watch the pre-screening of the funny and message-filled animation.

The Lego Ninjago Movie,” appropriately starring Jackie Chan as Sensei Wu, follows six undercover ninjas led by their friend Lloyd, to defeat the city’s evil warlord, Garmadon who happens to be Lloyd’s father.

Sensai Wu is the calm and helpful guide advising all the ninjas along the way of their journey to gain victory.

EURweb associate Robin Ayers sat down with Chan and the rest of the cast to discuss this third animation of the Lego Movies franchise.

When asked how much of his role was influenced by his real life, Jackie Chan says that he’s learned so many things from many teachers and now he has his own school with his own students.

“What I teach, I put in the movie,” says Chan.

Dave Franco (“Scrubs,” “Do Not Disturb”), who is the voice of Lloyd, says he used to dress up as ninjas when he was a kid so to be called upon to play such a major role in “The Lego Ninjago Movie” was an honor.

One of the most memorable lines in Ninjago The Movie comes from Lord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), toward his own son, mispronouncing his name “La-loyd” the entire time.

Justin Theroux clarified that he made the mistake of calling him “La-loyd” at the table reading.

“We thought it was so hilarious that we just kept it in there.” Says Justin.

Nya is the only female ninja in the group and is played by Abbi Jacobson who says Nya is “bad ass” and holds her own with the rest of the group. This female ninja will bring a whole new level of excitement from young girls who will be able to look at Abbi’s character and relate.

The Lego Ninjago Movie comes out in theaters this Friday, September 22 2017.
