ESPN to Jemele Hill: Calling Trump a White Supremacist is ‘Inappropriate’

*Following Jemele Hill’s series of Tweets in which she referred to Donald Trump as a white supremacist, ESPN released a statement calling her actions ‘inappropriate.’

The ‘Sportscenter’ host wrote that Trump is a “white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself” with “other white supremacists.”

She called him “unqualified and unfit” to be president, adding that if he wasn’t a white man, he never would have made it to the oval office.

“The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN. We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate,” said ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz in a statement.

The network has a history of suspending or firing people who cross the line politically, but Hill’s fate remains unclear.

Meanwhile, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson responded to Hill’s Trump comments, calling ESPN “Endless Stupid Political Nagging.”

He then asked Fox Sports’ Clay Travis what he thought of her attack, and Clay found the network’s statement to be another example of Hill’s politics “going all the way to the top.”

He then noted that parent company Disney CEO Bob Iger and ESPN president John Skipper hold left-wing views, and that “They want left-leaning politics the forward facing front of ESPN.”

To back up his claim, Travis pointed out that when former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka criticized Obama and announced his support for Trump, he was fired from ESPN.
