*If ast first you don’t succeed, you try again. We can safely assume that’s pretty much the attitude Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker have.
Initially as we reported that Tucker and Burruss’ “Old Lady Gang” restaurant received a “C” rating from the Georgia Department of Public Health for health code violations.
But after Kandi & crew corrected a few minor infractions, the health inspector gave the entire restaurant an “A” on August 29th.
As it turns out, it was a LEVEL of OLG that received a ‘C’ on August 24th and several other areas of the restaurant received ‘A’ ratings that same day.
As was reported earlier:
The restaurant was dinged for not having “adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible,” and was flagged in red on the Georgia Department of Public Health website, with the description: “Red indicates this violation is a known risk factor for foodborne illness.”
Burruss “received violations for “no soap or paper towels located at handwashing sink,” and “Observed soil buildup inside ice bin.”
The restaurant was also flagged for “potentially hazardous food cold held at greater than 41 degrees fahrenheit,” and also “observed employee with no hair restraint.”
The health inspector noted Burruss’ other violations: “Wet wiping cloth not stored in sanitizing solution between uses,” and “cutting board grooved/pitted and no longer cleanable.”

B. Scott reached out to Kandi to get the scoop about what’s really going on with her restaurant and she exclusively gave lovebscott.com the following statement:
“Our score is an A. Yes, it was a C for like three days, but for minor things like, someone in the kitchen didn’t have their hair net on — or we ran out of paper towels by the sink. We immediately corrected those things and our score returned to an A.
My thing is this — I can’t believe the one thing people choose to overlook is the fact that our score IS an A.
We love our customers. We do whatever we can to make sure they have an amazing experience. When it comes to cleanliness, we’re more than on top of things. The only complaint I’ve ever received from customers about OLG is the fact there’s a long ass wait!”
