*Munroe Bergdorf, the trans model whose Facebook post calling out white supremacists and white privilege led to her dismissal from L’Oreal Paris, has gotten a new gig with L’Oreal’s rival makeup brand Illamasqua.

The model took to Instagram Thursday announcing she’ll appear as the face of Illamasqua’s new campaign, along with model Rain Dove, to champion gender fluidity and beauty.

As previously reported, Munroe was the first trans woman to appear in a L’Oreal campaign, and was among the faces promoting the brand’s new diversity initiative. But a Facebook post she had written about race in the wake of Charlottesville went viral, and L’Oreal objected to her comment that “all whites are racist.” They decided to fire Munroe on Aug. 31, stating that her views didn’t align with their “values.”

Social media unleashed on L’Oréal after the company removed Bergdorf from the campaign, and former L’Oréal model Claro Amfo resigned from the company days later in protest of her former colleague’s firing.

In hiring Bergdorf, Illamasqua stated: “Munroe represents diversity and individuality, always not scared to be truly herself. She speaks out about the issues that affect not just her but the rest of our generation, seeking to improve the society we live.”

In her IG announcement, Bergdorf expressed her excitement over the new gig, stating, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”
