Najee Ali Promised Civil Disobedience At Rams/Colts Game: He Delivered & was Arrested (Photos)

*Najee Ali one of the leading civil rights leaders in Los Angeles and Political Director of the L.A.chapter of the National Action Network (NAN) led a coalition of several South L.A. groups and activists.

Their actions today were a continuation of protests they have spearheaded outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum against the NFL (where the LA Rams played the Indianapolis Colts) and in support of Colin Kaepernick who remains unsigned. They also wanted to continue to shine the spotlight on the issue of police misconduct that Kaepernick had raised last season.

Several dozen protesters and community leaders were present which also included several members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, which Kaepernick is a member of.

The L.A. rally was passionate with many speakers commending Kaepernick for shining the spotlight on the killings of black men women and children by police nationwide with no convictions.

As protesters blocked the entrance to the Coliseum stopping cars from entering the game and creating a massive traffic jam. The LAPD was called in and gave protesters an order to disperse. Ali refused to move an inch and was arrested for civil disobedience.

Before he was arrested he called for the activists to remain peacful and to keep fighting for justice. Stating that anytime a corporation punishes an employee for advocating on our behalf thats a violation of the constitution. That corporation must be protested.

The NFL is nothing but a modern day plantation with it”s all white owners who are treating Kaepernick like a run away slave. My arrest and others by police wont stop the movement. It will only inspire other activists to stay woke and to continue the fight!

Rev K.W.Tulloss Western Regional Director of NAN concluded the protest rally by putting the NFL on notice that NAN and our coalition would keep fighting until justice was achieved.
