*“60 Minutes” will give its new kid on the block some face time during the show’s season premiere later this month, reports Variety.

It was announced back in January that Oprah Winfrey was joining the long-running newsmagazine for the 2017/18 season, expanding her longstanding relationship with CBS.

The network announced today that Winfrey’s first segment as a “60 Minutes” correspondent will air during the show’s season premiere of the show’s 50th season on Sept. 24.

As for what Winfrey is covering in her inaugural piece, that info was not divulged.

Winfrey and CBS go way back. In 1999, CBS agreed to purchase King World Productions, the syndicated-TV powerhouse that launched Winfrey’s talk show. At the time, Winfrey, a substantial King World shareholder, was expected to control one-half of a percentage point of CBS stock. Today she remains an executive producer of CBS’ syndicated “Dr. Phil” talk show.
