Wendy’s Takes Shot at Wingstop and a Rap Battle is Born…With a Rick Ross Cameo

*During a recent troll run, the folks who run the Twitter account for Wendy’s discovered rival fast food spot Wingstop tweeting lyrics they had repurposed from Migos’ hit single “Bad and Boujee.”

Wingstop’s tweet prompted Wendy’s to respond with Kendrick Lamar.

And then it devolved into a full on food fight…

Just after 6 p.m. on Monday, roughly one hour after it started, the two parties ran out of steam.

The battle proved to be great marketing for both restaurant chains, with Wingstop telling AdFreak that it tallied some 9 million impressions and 72,000 retweets during the exchange.

It also helped that the battle was plugged by rapper Rick Ross, who owns 25 Wingstop franchises and proceeded to roast Wendy’s on Snapchat and appear to declare Wingstop the winner on Twitter.
