Lee Daniels Hopeful a Gay Rapper Will Top the Charts – Cardi B Talks Offset’s ‘Secret Love Child’

*Lee Daniels believes his hit music drama show Empire has helped cure hip-hop’s homophobia and it won’t be long before a gay rapper dominates the real charts.

Meanwhile, this writer’s is wondering: aren’t most of the rappers topping the charts these days gay?

Tyler, The Creator, for example, just told y’all that he’s “been kissing white boys since 2004.”

Maybe Lee means his show has made it easier for closeted and down low rappers to come out of the closet.

Daniels was on Larry King Live this week where he stated that his show has “made gays okay” in the hip-hop world.

For those who don’t watch Empire…the tension between hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon and his gay son, Jamal, who’s an aspiring musician, help drive the narrative.
