*On Monday, (Nov. 20) EUR associate Rocky Harris caught up with the “Top 12” contestants of season 13 of NBC’s “The Voice.”
This season Jennifer Hudson joins the panel of coaches, this is her first season as a coach. Hudson battles against voice coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Miley Cyrus.
For Team Adam we have contestants Addison Agen, Adam Cunningham and Jon Mero; for Team Jennifer there’s Davon Fleming, Shi’Ann Jones and Noah Mac; Team Miley has Ashland Craft, Janice Freeman and Brooke Simpson; lastly on Team Blake is Chloe Kohanski, Red Marlow and Keisha Renee.
Right after their set, the singers hit the NBC red carpet and talked what it’s like being in the “Top 12,” what fame is starting to feel like and who they’d love to work with in the music industry.
Fleming shared his love for Beyoncé mentioning she is one of the artists he’d love to work with. When asked, “If he could be in any Beyoncé video which would he be in?” he replied, “All of them.”
“We Run the World was dope with the choreography and “Formation” was really dope because of the message and everything. I look like “Formation” right now. Yup, I’m going to go with “Formation.”
In addition, the performers revealed that along with fame comes strange inbox messages. Kohanski said someone even asked her could she send them a picture of her feet.
“This person was like ‘can you send me a picture of your feet’ and I was like no. Then they said, like, ‘are your feet ticklish?’ I said yeah, why? It was just a really weird situation.”
She continued, “Everyone told me not to do it but I was like I need to know why this person needs to know.”
The 12 contestants will move on to face eliminations as well as the possibility of being traded by their coaches onto other teams.
The voice airs on NBC every Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c.
