On Monday’s “Undispited,” Sharpe said he’s be referring to Talib as “2 Chainz.” Like we said, unoriginal, but appropriate, under the circumstances.
Sharpe spent most of the segment on Talib’s latest fight with Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree. One of the things he opined about was how unfortunate the incident was. He even accurately predicted the league will suspend both players for at least one game. Well, actually he said one game, but the league busted both with a two game suspension.
That’s when Sharpe had some fun with the fact that Crabtree had his gold chain snatched by the Broncos Pro Bowl star for the second time in two years.
“Aqib got a new nickname, they call him: 2 Chainz, because he snatched both of them,” Sharpe said.
Sharpe echoed the assumption most have about what started the melee, by highlighting the history of conflict between them that predates the fight.
But he was also sure to point out that Crabtree began the scuffle as the aggressor when he punched Chris Harris in the stomach on the opening drive. That was all Talib needed for him to set his sights on Crabtree’s neck once more.
“Talib was already looking for a reason to set it off. We know what Aqib Talib is. He about that,” said Sharpe.
We can’t wait to hear what the man who invented the name, rapper 2Chainz, has to say about this.
