*Earlier this year, it was reported that Michaela Coel was ending her hit series Chewing Gum after two seasons.
“Michaela is not currently writing a third series of Chewing Gum as she is focussing on some other projects,” her rep confirmed to The FADER, “but is not closing the door to the possibility in the future.”
Continuing, “Chewing Gum is a vibrant, hilarious and unique comedy of which we are incredibly proud. Though there currently aren’t any plans for a 3rd series, we hope to work with the hugely talented Michaela Coel again soon.”
The statement followed a report that Coel had said she “reached a creative peak” with the series. But now — according to Michaela herself — the show WILL go on!

Michaela says she never spoke to any publication about the future of her show.
