Chicago Teen Helping Dad With Tribune Delivery, Shot Dead in Case of Possible Mistaken Identity

*In what is nothing short of a heartbreaking and tragic head scratcher, authorities are investigating the targeted shooting of 15-year-old Brian Jasso who was helping his step-dad deliver newspapers.

The incident happened on Sunday morning on Chicago’s Southwest side around 6:49 a.m. in the 5100 block of West 47th Street in the city’s LeClaire Courts neighborhood, according to authorities.

According to reports by the Chicago Tribune, the shooter was driving a white vehicle, and rear-ended the car carrying the teenager and his stepfather before pulling alongside the pair and opening fire, police said. The teen was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
