Rosario Dawson and Eric Andre Call it Quits

*After dating more than a year, much of it trying to prove that their relationship was real, Rosario Dawson and Eric Andre have decided to go their separate ways.

A source told Us Weekly magazine of the split: ”It just ran its course. He was never something serious.”

The 38-year-old actress and 34-year-old comedian first went public as a couple this past Valentine’s Day, but their posts on social media were met with skepticism…because Andre is known for his pranks.

Dawson confirmed their relationship in April during an interview with Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show,” saying Andre took to social media to prove it’s real after Chance the Rapper texted her in disbelief. (Watch video above.)

Just two months ago, Dawson paid an emotional tribute to Andre on Instagram, sharing a picture of him beside her hospital bed after she had emergency surgery.

She wrote: ”This weekend marks a year that I had to get emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding from a ruptured cyst on my ovary. It was the first time I told @ericf***ingandre that I loved him. (And very much not the last). Thankful for his care … Life has a way of reminding you again and again and again, though, what, and who is important.”

It was 115 degrees in the Bay Area. Things are going to keep changing. The universe demanding that we pay attention, educate ourselves, and be activated to advocate and create better circumstances than we were given, for our generation and those to come.
