Whew! It looks like Dr. J is gonna be OK.
That’s good to know because ever since word spread that the good doctor had fallen ill Friday night while attending a Philadelphia 76ers game and had to taken to a hospital, a lot of folks were worried about him.
And they had a right to be concerned because there was little to no information about his condition that was released, except that he suffered a “medical emergency.” Well, duh.
In any event, there is good news at this point. According to Dr. J/Julius Erving’s management, via his Twitter account, on Saturday they gave a positive update about the NBA legend. The tweet said Dr. J had been released from the hospital after being given a “comprehensive” medical exam and that he’s expected to make a full recovery.

Yes, that’s great news, but a “full recovery” from WHAT?
Erving, 67, was at the game on Friday because the 76ers honored the 35-year anniversary of his “cradle dunk” against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Sixers and Erving’s management said on Friday night that he was expected to be released from the hospital after evaluation, and that’s exactly what happened.
We wish Dr. J/Julius Erving all the best.
